What started on a Hawaiian beach became Embezzled Metals - a studio built on a simple belief: jewelry should carry something.  A place, a memory, a person.

Now I travel with open eyes and full pockets.  From the shores of Hawaii to the waters of Tahiti, from the coastlines of Croatia to the beaches of the Bahamas, from the deserts in the west all the way to the bottom of Baja,  each piece begins as something found and becomes something made to wear.  I'm a cowgirl at heart - born and raised in the West - and turquoise has been in my blood as long as I can remember.  It shows up in my work the way it shows up in my life: naturally and often.

Twelve years later, my girlfriend and I still share our passion and sometimes I even teach her a new technique or two as well.  Some things come full circle.

I also believe that the diamond brooch sitting in your grandmother's drawer deserves a second life.  Heirloom redesign is some of my most meaningful work - taking pieces that carry history and reimagining them into jewelry you'll actually reach for every morning.

If you find me at a show, look for Bling - my 1966 aluminum pop-up jewelry booth with BBBLING on the plates, raw redwood countertops, copper hydrants, and rusted tractor grills.  She's hard to miss.
