This stunning bolo is outstanding in its serene simplicity, elegant restraint, and the real star is the magnificent natural Carico Lake turquoise.
From Nevada, highest quality Carico Lake turquoise is prized for the sunny, spring-green color, seen in this piece. That green comes from the zinc in its make-up.
Of course, you may wear this bolo with western gear, but it really shines with a business suit, and even, a dinner jacket.
Double layered design made from solid sterling silver. The turquoise is surrounded by a castellated bezel, the eagle is cast from sterling. The tips are also made from solid sterling silver and both the back of the bolo and the bottom of the tips are stamped with 925 and my makers mark for authenticity. I have hand applied a patina to bring out the details, then polished to a nice shine.
Wear it proudly now, and for generations to come.

Most people are familiar with blue turquoise from Native American jewelry produced throughout the American Southwest. A handful of small turquoise mines (mostly in Nevada) produced some interesting shades of green turquoise due to the inclusion of zinc. These include the Carico Lake mine, Pixie, Northern Lights, Orville Jack and Damale. My personal favorite is Carico Lake because it produces some of the most beautiful green stones I have ever seen. You’ll find green apple greens and sometimes even green mixed with pastel blues.
None of these mines are actually producing today except for the Carico Lake which not a large commercial operation. As might be expected, prices for quality Carico are higher than most blue turquoise which is available from a variety of mines throughout the world. Carico lake greens come from one place on this planet and there is no substitute. Beware of dyed turquoise or other materials used to simulate Carico Lake.
Each Piece of Jewelry in my Collection is Absolutely One of a Kind! The piece you see is the piece you will receive.
Each piece of jewelry looks so much better in person than on pictures as it is hard to take good pictures sometimes to show the real beauty of a piece.
All of my jewelry comes nicely wrapped, in a recycled teal box and is ready for gift giving. All orders ship within 48 hours (except weekends and holidays) with priority mail, which includes a tracking number. It takes on average between 3-5 days in the states and 5-12 days to arrive to overseas locations, but because of Covid-19, may take much longer.

I make all the jewerly myself! I usually start with sterling silver sheet and sterling silver wire (or Gold filled ) and forge it with hammers, saws, stamps,
hydraulic press, etc. and all most always, there is a silversmithing torch involved. I use genuine stones, unless noted and mainly sterling silver, but also love other metals like gold filled, gold bronze and I especially love pure gold when price isn't an issue for my customer. Sometimes I even play with brass or german silver when requested. I absolutely love making jewelry and am so happy I get to do this for a living. I hope you enjoy wearing it as much as I enjoyed making it. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to see additional photos. Thank you for looking!
